My First Lab Duo-Scope Review
My First Lab Duo-Scope Review
My kids love science. I’m thrilled and want to do everything I can to foster their love of learning. My kids are especially interested in cells and inspecting microscopic things. This year, I got them models of both human and animal cells and also want to give them the opportunity to inspect real cells under a microscope. One of the many reasons I’m thrilled to share our Duo-Scope starter kit sample with you.

Overall opinion of my first lab duo-scope
When I pictured the microscope, I thought of what I had in high school. However, this is considerably smaller and lighter than what I remember from school and if is more novel. While I do believe this design and magnification is appropriate for my 6-year-old and his younger brothers, I don’t believe this wouldn’t be enough for an older student. I did find a student compound microscope, all metal for around $80 on Amazon with up to 1000x magnification. Down the road, I will definitely pick something up like that for my kids for our home-school science class. However, this is great for right now, especially for my smaller sons, and comes with a 50 piece accessory kit! It will be really amazing to teach the kids to prepare slides and look at somethings up close. You can see a full list of products on the my first lab website like this smartphone inspector below.
