Gurin Mini Aromatherapy Diffuser Review

Some of my favorite fragrances come from essential oils. I remember sitting in a spa and thinking…wow, I wish my home could smell like this. I even have 9 or 10 different therapeutic grade oils that I use for home remedies and cleaning. I am really excited to have the opportunity to test this Mini Aromatherapy Diffuser from Gurin.
This diffuser comes with the diffuser body, lavender essential oil, the a/c cord and a little pitcher to fill the unit with water. The unit holds up to 180ml of water or about 3/4 cup, runs for 30 * 60 *120 * or 180* minutes, requires 2-3 drops of essential oils and offers 4 light colors in a high or low setting.

Filling the unit is easy. Simply twist the cover off to expose the fill center of the diffuser. Use the pitcher provided to fill with cool water to the desired line (I always fill to the highest) and add you essential oil or oil blend. Place the cover back on and hold the on button in the back for two seconds to start the diffuser. Press the button again to select the time setting and turn on the light.

The button next to the on button controls the light. If offers 4 light colors and each color can be set  to bright or dim. Colors include blue, red, green and white lighting. The unit can also be used without the light. Press the button once for the high setting, then again for the low light setting. You must cycle through all colors to select the right one but it’s very fast and easy to do. At 6 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter, this is certainly not an overwhelming item to have displayed in our home.

The diffuser has 2.4 million ultrasonic vibrations and operates quietly. I can definitely tell that it’s on, and the base does feel slightly warm while operating, but I have to get close to hear the subtle hum. The mist (seen below) has a nice output and I can smell this throughout the house. I used the lavender oil provided and noticed that the scent wasn’t very strong. I thought this unit would be more appropriate for a bedroom. However…when I moved it to the bedroom and used my therapeutic grade oils the smell was very strong. 2-3 drops of my oils let this unit fill our house with a spa like scent. I mixed my own fragrance, but definitely plan on diffusing germ fighting oils like lemon and those that help with respiration like eucalyptus when my family is fighting off colds and viruses.
