Buttons Prefolds Review
Have you heard of Buttons Diaper covers? No, then you should definitely read this! Yes, well still read this, as they have added new and exciting items to their product listings! Buttons Cloth Diapers is a family owned company based out of Idaho. This husband and wife team’s products are CPSIA compliant so you can rest assured they are safe for your precious little ones.
I had the good fortune of trying out one of their new Buttons Diaper Covers Super with their Buttons prefolds. Buttons prefolds are cotton, absorbent and fit right in the covers. The Buttons Diaper covers come in two sizes: the original Buttons Diapers cover and the Buttons Super cover, see a comparison of the covers here. See the review sample below and shop affiliate links.
I have many different diaper covers after cloth diapering 3 kids. When I received the Buttons Super Diaper Cover I was pleasantly surprised! It feels very durable! I was expecting a one pul layer cover, but the Buttons Super Diaper Cover is 2 layers of quality pul. Not the thin stuff I was used to using. It has held up extraordinarily well to many many washings and being thrown in a drier on high. Goodness gracious! I know! I don’t have time to hang dry all the time and I do use the drier on high. The Buttons Super Diaper Cover has not started to delaminate at all! That is something to say since I have ruined many a diaper cover on high heat in my drier.

I used the Buttons Super Diaper Cover with the Buttons Cotton prefolds. When you open the package, they do feel soft but very thin. Do not worry! A few washings later and they fluffed up nicely. They did shrink about 2 inches on each side, which is normal for 100% cotton prefolds. I have washed them consistently for about a month now and they have not gotten “crunchy” or still like some of my other prefolds have. They are still just as soft as the first time I used them. They held up very well to my very heavy wetter son. I used 2 Buttons Cotton Prefolds at night and 1 Buttons Cotton Prefold during the day. I did not have a single leak or explosion! That is something that I cannot say about any diaper I have tried. Eventually, things happen, but The Buttons Super Diaper Cover with their cotton prefolds has withstood anything my son can dish out! I especially like that I can just wipe the cover out and reuse it without having to wash it every time I change him. That little perk has cut down on my diaper laundry.
Overall opinion of buttons prefolds
I highly recommend the Buttons Super Diaper Cover and Buttons Cotton prefolds! They are both extremely durable. Whether you have a super heavy wetter or a dainty baby, these are made for everyone. From gussets that hold everything in to the wide variety of prints that I love. Try one, you will not be disappointed, plus the prices are very reasonable to fit any budget.
