FoxGroo diapers review

FoxGroo diapers review

I love sharing new diapers and new companies with you! One new company popping up is FoxGroo. The FoxGroo diapers brand is growing quickly. The diapers are made directly by the same company that used to produce a major brand of cloth diapers and the shop is the back to school backpack suppliers for CVS and RiteAid. Cool right? So how about the cloth diapers? The company decided to go into cloth diaper production for themselves and even sent me photos of their shop. In this review, I am comparing the FoxGroo pocket and AI2 diaper here and you can see the fit bot on a small baby and on my 35lb 18 month old and sharing my thoughts!

I’ll be honest, because why not. When I first started speaking with the FoxGroo company I had low expectations. I am contacted by diaper companies in China on a regular basis and many are selling knock-off Alva baby diapers or something I wouldn’t share here. I decided to work with FoxGroo because they are an experience manufacturer and in addition to sewing several reputable brands, now make their own diapers! I believe it’s considered factory direct.

Fit and absorbency

These diapers have a nice and generous fit. While they do have crossover snaps, you can see on my doll model above, and fit tiny waists they also fit larger babies. They fit my 35+ lb 18 m/o baby below with room to grow. The bamboo insert is trim and he actually has an entire row of rise snaps folded up here.

Absorbency depends on your baby. My son is very well hydrated and this insert, or any in this style other for that matter, is not absorbent enough for him. I need two of these inserts or a natural fiber booster like cotton or hemp.

Performance

These diapers are performing well and I have had no defects with wash and wear. You can get 4 diapers shipped from Amazon for $22.99 which works out to $5.75 per diaper but they have a much larger selection on the Foxgroo website. You can save 10% off code: HZBWSHSA off of your entire order (Minimum purchase of $10.00) with the code. Even if you need a booster, at that price you could use anything really. An old folded up wash cloth, a piece of a worn t-shirt or a $6-$8 booster from a cloth diaper store. You could even just use two of the company’s inserts together.

No, these are not Alva Baby Diapers.

I am inevitably asked, “are these Alva Baby diaper rebrands.” No, these are not Alva Baby rebrands. Foxgroo is their own manufacturer that, as I mentioned in the intro, makes many other products as well. They are manufactured in China and their website says they are CPSIA compliant. You can see copies of their forms & details right in their FAQ web section. To be honest I have not see another company put everything out there like that and I’m not sure what all the info on the forms mean but do wish everyone was that transparent.

Pocket or AI2?

I personally would pick the AI2 over the pocket if deciding on a style. The AI2 can function as a pocket, allows the insert to snap in place and has double gussets. That being said, the pocket is trimmer and if you like a less-bulky bum then I would go with the pocket. For the price I would choose these over a brand like Alva. They have a long history manufacturing for other diaper companies and major retailers. In addition, they have their paperwork up and are committed to transparency. I was even provided photos of their factory to look at without request.

Where to buy?

You can find a limited number of prints below on the Amazon site, which can arrive at your house in 2 days with Prime shipping, or you can order straight from their website with a much larger selection but increased ship time.
