tml Grovia ONE Review: the Grovia All in One Cloth Diaper

Grovia ONE Diaper Review

Grovia ONE Review

The Grovia ONE cloth diaper is one of many products we’ve tried from Grovia. I was first introduced to the Grovia line with the hybrid shell and snap-in soaker. We also have their side-snapping AIOs, multiple Grovia Hybrids, prefolds, soakers, boosters and now the ONE. Each diaper in the Grovia line is remarkably different from the next and can fit multiple needs. The ONE is meant to be just that, the only one diaper you’ll need. It’s meant to fulfill every possibility from birth to potty. With the option to have both snap or aplix closure, diaper users can remove the aplix and replace it easily when needed. In addition to it’s replaceable components, including the snap in soakers, this diaper is very soft to the touch! I can’t wait to share our Grovia ONE experience with you, and some affiliates for purchase.

My Grovia stash started out with the Grovia Hybrid Shell and Snap-In AI2 system. I loved the fit, the fact that the shell is lined with an athletic mesh style fabric and the idea that it could be used a few times by replacing the prefold if still clean. Once the snap-in soakers weren’t absorbent enough, I started using them with Grovia Prefolds. After that I tried some AIO diapers from the Wacky limited edition prints and while I love the print, I’m not a fan of the fit or absorbency as compared to the hybrid or ONE. I am really excited to try this Grovia ONE with you! Why O.N.E.? O = Outlast Closure N = No Prep E= Easy to Use. Designed to fit babies 10 – 35 and be placed right on the bum (OTB) out of the package, this diaper is very different from the others in Grovia’s product line. While similar in cut to the Hybrid Shell, it surpasses it’s absorbency with a layered shell and double soaker system.

Overall impression.

This is a very absorbent diaper. However, while Grovia notes that this is sufficient for overnight, I have a heavy wetting baby and it’s not enough for him. It is however, the company’s most absorbent and tricked out diaper. Priced around $21-$23, I do wish there was an option to purchase without the Aplix (something I rarely use) and drop the price down a few dollars. The Aplix is sitting my my accessory drawer and may never be used. However, It is a nice option to have for caregivers who may have difficulty with snaps or a mobile baby and I can see how this is an attractive feature, but not for us.

Very luxurious overall feel. The lining of the diaper is super soft and I love that it’s so cozy next to baby’s bum. While I am a big fan of natural fibers, I do enjoy a microfiber/cotton blend for both quick and long lasting absorbency. The channels in the soaker are a nice touch and the contour makes this a great fit in the groin area. While this is very similar in cut to the hybrid shell, having the lining and hidden microfiber layers make it not as trim and my baby here at around 25lbs is on nearly the largest setting. However, I do notice that as my babies get more mobile we gain sizing back in diapers and I anticipate this having a very long life in our stash. Where can you purchase the ONE? Here are my favorite affiliates. Great service and shipping!

This is one of the first reviews i’ve read that says the O.N.E. didn’t work for their heavywetter overnight. Some have said adding a hemp insert to the O.N.E. (and even adding wool over it) worked, but i’m wondering what your overnight routine is since my LO soaks through overnight disposables sometimes!

Hi! Yes, my baby is well hydrated. I’ve struggled with overnight! My best solution for him is using a HumBird system with an overnight diaper and wool. She is releasing an even more absorbent diaper called the “HumCloud” shortly! I’m surprised when I hear the Grovia works for overnight because we get maybe 2 hours of day use with it. See the HumBird herre –> http://mamabananasadventures.com/2016/04/humbird-overnight-cloth-diapering-fitted-diaper-and-wool-cover.html

Thank you! I’ve been so overwhelmed looking at fitteds I just never know what will really be worth the cost. I’ll definitely check them out.
