I use moisturizer on my face daily. I’m excited to try this Adeline Anti-Aging Moisturizer with Matrixyl, Advanced Peptide Trio, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C. It’s a medium weight and fast absorbing moisturizer with a great list of ingredients (see below). After learning about the benefits Peptides have on collagen production in our skin, I can’t wait to use this every day! It is fragrance free and is lightly scented with peppermint oil.
What do peptides do for our skin? “Peptides are chains of amino acids that help cells function. When put in a cream or serum, they can help your skin repair wrinkles and lines.” (1)Which brings me to Matrixyl. “Matrixyl is part of the pentapeptide family. It is an amino acid that is small enough to penetrate through the outer layer of your skin to reach the fibroblast cells within and stimulate collagen production. Collagen is a naturally occurring protein found in the skin that gives it elasticity and tone.” (2)

While I couldn’t find an ingredient list on the website or Amazon, I typed up what’s written on the side of the package. At first I thought some of these weren’t for me, because I don’t recognize them…however when I started looking them up…they are all great for my skin…and a few stabilizers etc.
Ingredients include: Deionized Water, Witch Hazel Extracct, Glycerol Sterate, PEG-100 Sterate, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Shea Butter, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, PEG-8, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Phenoxyethanol, Captylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate VP Copolymer, Ceterayl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivae, PPG-12 SMDI/Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Xanthum Gum, Peppermint Oil, Green Tea Extract, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate.

This lotion is sure to please and I feel like I’m doing something wonderful for my skin every time I apply it! The peppermint oil brings memories of candy canes and the texture is smooth and nourishing. My wish for this product? Sunscreen. I wish it had sunscreen! I have a great spf 50 that I put on over this…but as we all know…the sun causes most of the aging damage we’re trying to fix.
